- RoP was founded one day before the election.

- RoP was founded by two conservative non-Obama voters.

- RoP is a group for people from all over the political spectrum.

- RoP is calling for civility in agreement and disagreement. Disagreement with the president is natural, healthy, and a right  
  protected by our founding documents. RoP members are encouraged to disagree with specific positions and arguments while
  always offering a clear insult-free rationale.

- RoP administrators edit very little, but reserve the right to delete inflammatory posts and posts designed to hijack the group.

- RoP is not a religious group. However, discussion boards often include comments about religion (most specifically Christianity)
  not necessarily by design, but because many members of the religious right are processing what it means to respect and honor
  a president with whom they might disagree. I imagine the discussion themes would look much different had McCain won.

- RoP is not a passive discussion group. We are calling for action and individual change in conduct and attitude that will prompt
  larger change in the political arena nation-wide.
